CAMPBELL-KLATTE LECTURES & RESEARCH

Third year residents and Fellows are required to present an oral presentation or paper (or electronic) poster at the Campbell-Klatte Lectures in the spring. This may be an original research project or a scholarly review of an important topic in radiology.

The topic is to be turned in by September 1st. An abstract is to be submitted by March 1st. Suggestions for topics may be solicited from (and are encouraged by) the department’s faculty members. Staff members will contact you to remind you of upcoming deadlines.

Staff members who are involved in directly planning the lecture series are:

           Rhonda Gerding 278-6303

           Beth Ward 630-8788

           Lois Shuman 278-2449

The department has significant facilities and support personnel to aid in your research. There is a 2500 square foot radiology animal research facility (contact Wendy Winkle 278-3167). Statistical support is provided through the Radiology Education Division (contact Ron Fraley 715-6389), and a photographer is available. Our physical scientist/research division has Ph.D. level physicists, chemists and pharmacists available for consultation if needed (contact Wendy Winkle 278-3167).

Note: Interventional fellows are also encouraged to present during Campbell-Klatte.

Please be advised: Supplies for Campbell-Klatte posters can be obtained from Beth Ward (630-8788). The costs associated with services at Visual Media/Medical Illustrations used to create posters or presentations for Campbell-Klatte will not be paid for by the department UNLESS the same poster is being presented at a national meeting.
