PROCEDURE:  Using ultrasound guidance and 1% lidocaine local anesthesia, an 18-gauge core biopsy needle was advanced into the left lobe of the liver.  A total of two passes were made.  Core samples were sent to Surgical Pathology for further analysis.  The patient tolerated the procedure well and was transferred to the floor for post-procedure monitoring.  Dr. _____ was present.
