Hypertension and End-Stage Renal Disease Minimize

Hypertension is a medical condition in which blood pressure is chronically elevated. When hypertension affects the body leading to disfunction or failure of the kidneys, it is known as end-stage renal disease. Treatments for this disease can include dialysis or kidney transplantation. Peritoneal dialysis involves a  cleansing solution filling your abdomen through your mid-body area. The solution pulls waste into your abdominal cavity. These wastes and fluid then leave your body when the dialysis solution is drained. Hemodialysis is the process by which blood is circulated through a machine (dialyzer). The dialyzer removes waste products and returns clean blood to the circulatory system. End-stage renal disease affects millions of patients but can be treated with prompt diagnosis and proper treatment. An interventional radiologist is specialized in identifying and finding solutions for patients with this disease.
