- Can I use Netscape Communicator instead of Internet Explorer?
- IE handles memory issues more gracefully at this time and has better Java optimization for faster performance.
- Retrieval of images is extremely slow on my system. What can I do?
- Assuming that your system has adequate memory and a fast enough processor, there are still additional steps that can be taken.
- Use IE 4.0 or higher.
- Change the system's video card settings appropriately. Improper video settings will slow image display.
- Close all running programs. Microsoft Outlook is a system hog, so tur close this program before launching MediSurf..
- Why is there is "banding" across the x-ray?
- Banding occurs when a stationary grid is used during the exposure of the radiograph. Grids are commonly employed in portable work. The digitization process causes an interference or Moiré pattern on the resultant image, hence the "banding". Changing the magnification of the image can reduce the banding artifact. Use the interactive zoom control to alter the image magnification.
